June 26: Monday Meander at 6 pm. New location "Remington Nature Center parking lot at 1502 McArthur Drive". The Monday Meander Ride for new riders or rider who are just getting their wheels back after a long break. This will be a slow paced ride around 10 to 15 miles depending on who shows up and how far they want to go. The goal is to get everyone used to riding in a group and to discuss group riding and trail riding etiquette. Ride will meet at the Remington Nature Center parking lot at 1502 McArthur Drive.
July 1: First Saturday Ride: 8 am, meet at the YMCA on 6th St. For a fun ride through downtown, route will be determined at ride time. This will be a slow paced ride for beginners to intermediate riders, but all riders are welcome.
July 2: Inter-Urban Ride: 1 pm. Meet in Dearborn at the Bank, corner of Maple Leaf St. (Hwy Z) & Main St., then dinner 6:30 pm at Gator's, 2715 N Belt Hyw. Rain or shine we will meet for dinner.
Tuesday, July 4th: 76'er and Metric 76'er. Meet at 2707 Clay St. at 7 am. look for all the bikes.
The ride is a metric 76 (aprox. 47 miles) that goes north east up 6 hwy to Helena, Rochester Falls (food stop) to Savannah back Hwy 71. Donations will be accepted for food, for this route, give your donation to Joyce Reynolds. Suggested donation $3.
August 20: Eclipse Ride: Just in time for the Eclipse, August 21st. We have eclipse viewing glasses! Members can get them for a minimum donation of $1 each. For Non-members the minimum donation is $5 each.
Or come out to our ride on Sunday August 20th, 1 pm meet up at Bartlett Park. For a leisurely ride to Mount Mora Cemetery. Where we will take part in "Mount Mora's Connection to Space" event. After which we will return to Bartlett Park for an Ice Cream Social. Tickets for the Mount Mora event are $15 at the gate or $10 advance.
All riders are responsible for getting their own tickets. Tickets are available at the Saint Joseph museum office at 3406 Frederick, Monday thru Saturday 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday 1 pm to 5pm.
The bike club requests a minimum donation to the club of $5 to cover the cost of the ride, for which each rider will receive a pair of eclipse viewing glasses.
